I love collecting duplicated dolls for this reason-each dolly has his/her own unique personality! I will say that I also took pity on little Rose because she was one of the few Kelly dolls we got from the "Disney Store bin," and I was terrified that she'd fall out of the overflowing container and get lost! Luckily she made the trek home just fine, and has been a member of the family for many years now."Barbie takes flight in her first original princess fairy tale movie, Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus.

Plus there is something a bit more flattering about the way her eyes are painted in general. I tried to photograph this difference for Flickr, but it doesn't capture in photos. Her glitter eye shadow is much more subtle. I find that she is far more attractive than my first brunette Kelly.

Luckily she was a blast to pick out clothes for. Like many of the dolls from said lot, Kelly did not have her original ensemble. She was from the 2015 "Disney Store bin" that we scored at our local flea market. My duplicated Rose on the right was also a bin doll. She's a fun doll to dress up, albeit, less easy to dress than Blush though due to her jarring look. I love how Rose has pink streaks in her hair-it makes her stand out from the crowd. Besides, it gets boring when all Kelly dolls look the same, and as much as I appreciate a realistic looking doll, I also am fond of the more loud ones. I have a thing for dolls with glittery makeup (ahem, Wintertime Wonderland and Formal Funk Bratz). With time though, I ended up embracing this special feature. It's just that her eye shadow is so intensely glittery, that it is a bit overwhelming. But that's not to say that Rose didn't win me over too. I'll admit that I warmed up to Blush first-she reminds me of American Girl Caroline, and even back then before I had my AG doll, I thought she was stunning in a unique way. I thought that the Cloud Princess Kelly dolls were admittedly a little bizarre looking, but still cute nonetheless. I ended up with hoards of Fairytopia Barbies and other fantasy themed dolls. But we decided to donate $10 and take some, not all, of the doll stuff (I still regret this decision). We could have taken all the doll stuff for free, since the people were wrapping up the yard sale. It was a charity yard sale that Colleen and I happened upon on our way to the town dump one Saturday. My Rose doll on the left and my Blush gal came from the "Memorial Day Weekend Yard Sale bin" of 2014. By the time I acquired my first Magic of Pegasus dolls, I had warmed up a little to the line. Rayla and Annika are babes, and the Kelly dolls are so fantastical! What can I say, I am a sucker for dolls with glittery makeup, colorful hair, and princess themed clothes (despite the fact that I never played with princess attire).

Of course, had I not gone on a dolly hiatus in 2005, there is a good chance I would have fallen in love with these Magic of Pegasus dolls in stores. At first, I wasn't too keen on the newer Barbie section-you know the dolls that were after my time. Personal Fun Fact: I remember the first time I learned of the Magic of Pegasus line was back in 2012, when I acquired my "Barbie Doll Photo Album" book.
